Traffic congestion is more than wasted time – it's a barrier to accessing jobs and essential services, which stifles economic opportunities for local businesses and negatively impacts our region’s air quality and safety.

Movability connects employers, community groups, and individuals to transportation options that help them get where they need to go and help our region grow its economy, not its traffic. Your donation can help Movability increase its impact!

Please fill out the form below and select the program to which you’d like to direct your charitable donation.

GoGrant is a community microgrant program that provides financial assistance of up to $7,500 to employers within the Austin city limits, with a focus on funding projects that reduce drive-alone employee commutes. Applicants can apply for three types of grant assistance:

  1. Infrastructure projects: funding to build permanent structures like bike racks or lockers.

  1. Programmatic projects: funding to put incentives and policies in place that encourage and make it easier for people to use active transportation modes like transit, vanpools, or shuttles.

  1. Mobility planning projects: funding for professional consulting services from Movability.

GoGrant has two funding cycles each year. In our last funding cycle, we received more than $138,000 in grant requests. Unfortunately, our current funding allowed us to approve less than $30,000 in grants. Help us say yes to more people!

Suggested Donation levels:

  • $5,000 | provides 400 Local or 180 Commuter 7-day transit passes for low-income job seekers

  • $2,500 | provides four (4) bike racks for a local school

  • $1,000 | provides one (1) month of shuttle service for seniors

  • $500 | provides twenty (20) bike helmets for children

  • $250 | provides 100 Local Day Passes for at-risk youth

Mobility Camps are designed to introduce people to transportation modes in a fun, relaxed environment.

Adopting a new or different transportation mode can be hard - uncertainties like how to buy a pass, where to find protected bike lanes, or where to find the nearest transit stop can sometimes stop commuters from even trying to shift modes.

Mobility Camps help break down those barriers with a custom trip to a fun activity like lunch or happy hour using modes like bus, train, bikes, or scooters.

Suggested Donation levels:

  • $6,000 | provides four (4) Mobility Camps for community groups, schools, or workplaces

  • $3,000 | provides two (2) for community groups, schools, or workplaces

  • $1,500 | provides one (1) Mobility Camp for community groups, schools, or workplaces

  • $750 | provides fifty (50) Commuter transit passes for two (2) MetroRail Mobility Camps

  • $375 | covers food costs associated with one (1) Mobility Camp

MovePass is designed to take the burden of administering bulk transit passes purchased from CapMetro off the shoulders of the businesses and organizations using them.

With MovePass, organizations and businesses choose which bulk transit pass options work best for them and make the purchase through CapMetro. Movability can then handle the distribution of those passes to employees, track the usage, and help determine when it's time to purchase more.

Your donation allows Movability to offer an additional bulk purchase subsidy, making transit passes a realistic option for small, local businesses and non-profit organizations whose employees often commute more than 50 miles per day.

Suggested Donation levels:

  • $5,000 | provides 25 small businesses with ten (10) 30-day, Local transit passes

  • $2,500 | provides twelve (12) small businesses with ten (10) 30-day Local transit passes

  • $1,000 | provides five (5) small businesses with ten (10) 30-day Local transit passes

  • $500 | provides 44 Local or 18 Commuter 7-day transit passes

  • $250 | provides 22 Local or nine (9) Commuter 7-day transit passes

All donations are tax-deductible through our 501(c)(3) partnership with the Austin Community Foundation.

Movability's program donation is a component fund of the Austin Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity. The Foundation has exclusive legal control over the assets contributed to funds of the Foundation.
